Since its beginning in 1981, the Association has honored its fallen members and associates with a salute in its publication "SCANNER" and by adding their names to a roster on this website. During the last reunion in April 2009, a short video was shown to our members that
included a listing of all 802 of our fallen comrades and an additional LAST FLIGHT salute to the association itself. We are pleased to share the roster and the video with you here.
The video begins with a display of pages of names of our fallen heroes accompanied with a rendition of IL SILENZIO (In Silence), written in 1965 by trumpet players Nini Rosso and Guglielmo Brezza, and performed by the very talented thirteen years-old Melissa Venema. The video ends with a recitation by William Conrad of the airman's poem HIGH FLIGHT, written by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. who died soon afterwards in a mid-air collision during WWI.
This video is provided as a tribute only to our fallen members and is not to be used for any sort of commercial endeavor.
