REUNION 2003
Reunion 2003 is over. A good time was had by all. The greatest concern expressed by many was the absence of many familiar faces. It was generally understood and accepted that as time marches on it becomes more difficult to make the journey followed by the hope that next time (Reunion 2005) more of us will be in shape to make the trip. Besides, if you want to look young, hang around with old people. To see who attended, CLICK HERE.
WHOS IN CHARGE?
At the Business Meeting during Reunion 2003 a planned aura of confusion worked very well and the slate of Officers and Board Members presented to the audience was passed without any discussion. Therefore, the membership must put up with the following dignitaries (?) for the next two years: (note: Phone numbers are listed so members can voice their relief in the fact they werent elected. If you want to send money, their address is in the directory.)

MONEY TALKS
(Some people will do anything for money. All people will do something for money)
What with free beer, coffee and rolls in the Memory Room, half price meals, dance band, etc., your Association blew a bundle on the reunion. All the figures arent in yet but there is no doubt about the outcome, our outgo was greater than our income. But thats the way it was planned go broke by 2010. It could have been worse but RAY GORHAM sent us 100 bucks to put on our beer bill!!! This is the second years in a row that he has blessed us with his fiscal favors. Thanks RAY and when we hoist one we will give a burp for you.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
(BUT NOT BY MUCH!!!)
As usual, we had about 30-40 show up at the last minute. We will go to great lengths to accommodate late-comers but PLEASE, try to keep it to a minimum. We have to tell our suppliers no less that two days before the event of the number attending. While they do plan for some extras, it does make their job, and ours, a lot tougher. And then when we try to tally up who owes whom how much we dont want to come across as a bunch of cheaters trying to sneak in some extras. Now, all this registration stuff is in the SCANNER prior to the reunion and just read it and follow the directions. Remember, your officers and the people who try to make things come out even at the reunion are getting old, too, and it is an effort just to get the paper work done, let alone make changes.
NOT ALL BAD!!!
Your Keeper of the Reserved Seating, WARREN ARTHUR, reports that this was the best reunion yet. There were only a few people who forgot where they had made their reservations and all WARREN had to do was show them his chart with all the names and places. When all else fails, keep good records.
YOUR COMMENTS
We try to make the reunion a great time for all attendees. We welcome your comments and suggestions on what went wrong and where we can improve in future reunions. Please include your name and address so we can place you in charge of planning and executing the event for future reunions. We figure that your knowledge of what went wrong makes you the best person to see that it doesnt happen again.
CHAPLAINS CORNER
(BILL MINELLI)
Those of you who missed the 2003 Reunion missed a wonderful Memorial Service. We had a great choir who sang patriotic songs. Along with them, we had an excellent speaker from NAS Carswell Field. We honored the friends who took their Last Flight. I know that GOD was waiting for them as they landed in Heaven. They will be missed by all of us and our prayers will be with them and their families left behind. GOD bless you all.
LAST FLIGHT
They are gone but we remember all the happy times we had,
We will join them in the future so why should we be sad?
